How to transfer contacts data to Android


Considering that a number of users using Android phone is still growing, more and more people find themselves in need of backup or synchronize contacts with other devices. How to start?

You need an Android phone version 2.2 (Froyo and higer e.q. 2.2.1, 2.2.2), 2.3 (Gingerbread and higher e.q. 2.3.2, 2.3.3, 2.3.4, 2.3.5, 2.3.6, 2.3.7), 3.0.1 (Honeycomb and higher e.q. 3.1, 3.2, 3.2.1), 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwitch and higher 4.0.1-4.0.4), 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 (Jelly Bean), 4.4 (KitKat), 5.0, 5.1 (Lollipop), 6.0 (Marshmallow), 7.0 (Nougat), , 7.1.x (Nougat), 8.0 (Oreo), and 9.0 (Pie) including tablets. Let us just remind you, that for now PhoneCopy for Android transfers from server to android only contacts (in free version) and SMS or pictures (in Premium version). How to copy contacts (and SMS) from PhoneCopy.com to Android phone?

Download PhoneCopy for Android to your Android phone, which you can download free of charge. After downloading and installation, go through following steps.

Run the app, fill in your username and password. Here you can check where will be stored contacts from PhoneCopy. In case you are Premium user, you can upload SMS as well.

After successful login, press "Advanced & Account". Select "One-way sync" and after choose "Server >> this device".

Contacts from server will be copied to your phone in few seconds.

If you wish, you can also set automatic contacts backup and synchronization. That will keep your contacts up-to-date everytime you come to location you set.

Now you have all your contacts from PhoneCopy server copied to your Android Phone. PhoneCopy can also be used as a regular synchronization service, should you lose your phone or the stored data, or if you just run out of battery and you need to see your contacts online. Also, on your online account, you will see full history of your contacts, as well as the data that you've deleted in between the synchronizations. You can find them in an archvie from where you can restore them. And if this is still not enough of a backup for you, you can download a .CSV file, that you can store in your computer
